I have been a regular in this pub for a number of years now.When steph and sonya took over they set out to make a few changes very brave we thought.But i must say they have improved every aspect of this pub ,from entertainment to food and also the people who have started to use it.Well done you two you deserve all the sucess in the world.Cheers Bob and Fluff.03/10/10

thanks for the warm welcome and very enjoyable meal that we had last thurs.it is certainly the best vegeterian menu that i have seen anywhere!

Called in on spec yesterday lunchtime with friends and dog,had a wonderful lunch (sandwiches)on your terrace,great value for money,shall call again. Robin from St Leonards 19/09/10

We came down to Pevensey Bay from Norfolk for a week's holiday and managed to bring with us some awful weather. On our arrival the ownwers of our cottage recommended The Beach Tavern and they weren't wrong! We had a warm welcome on the Saturday lunchtime and booked for meals that evening and Sunday lunchtime. The Sunday lunch lasted until 5pm - The Big Jazz played from 3pm and were great. What a relaxing afternoon! We visited a few times during the week (worth walking there in the wind and rain) and apart from being very well fed and watered (can recommend the Doombar)we enjoyed chats with Stephan who was very attentive, as were all of the staff. Thank you Stephan and Sonia  so much for making us feel very welcome and treating us as "one of the locals" and if we were living nearby (and not just on Holiday)we certainly would make you "our" local, your food was fantastic and  could not wish for anything better, and the tribute events are great.

 Even though we have only arived home today we are  planing our next fishing trip and of course this will not be complete without comming to visit you both and having a wonderful meal ,so looking forward to returning in the very near future. thank you again Best wishes Iris and John Xx 11/09/10

We were visiting friends in Sussex and went to The Beach Tavern on Sunday 29/08/10 and caught young Tom Fitzpatricks act.Wow.

We've not enjoyed listening to a singer for many a year.Tom just has it all.The looks,style and most of all that voice.

Sinatra,Dino and Sammy,Michael Buble all just flowed in an easy manner.The atmosphere in the Beach was great.

we had'nt been to pevensey for about 18yrs and after we parked the car the beach tavern caught our eye it looked clean and welcoming outside and inside. we were greeted by stephan who we immediately liked,all the staff were friendly and the food was brilliant,tasty and hot thanks to his wife and team.we would recommend a visit or two !! also do try the panna cotta) 16/08/10 Rosemary Daniels

As Eastbourne residents, we recently visited the Beach Tavern for the firts time and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome, superb food, reasonable prices, and friendly customers. We have been back several times and we now drive past other pubs for a meal and a pint with excellent hosts Stephan & Sonia. They have been host for around a year, and their events list is so full and varied with something for everyone. Even Henry, our ageing collie greyhound cross gets attention from Stephan who ensures that there's always fesh water for their four-legged visitors. The pub is clean & airy and The Beach Tavern is just how a pub should be. It sets a good standard, & if more pubs were like this, there would be fewer closing down because of poor sales. 'Well Done' to The Beach Tavern - you are a 'Hidden Secret' and we'll certainly recommend you to our friends, Peter, Linda & Henry. 26/07/10

Had a really nice day today thank you, one small thing though, my son and daughter in law decided to come down after we had, so I said to catch the train, not realising that there werent any from Eastbourne, we decided with the way the traffic was that we would go back to Eastbourne to see them, so we all lost out on a family evening together. Is there any way you can discuss with BR to allow some trains in to the station on the next one you run, allowing its a saturday of course? We spoke to you about the Pevfest and said we were possibly coming back.                

Could you possibly please tell us approximatly what time everything gets of and running, so as we can allow traveling time.

We cycle from St Leonards-on Sea every time the sun is shining to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, perfect beer and suntrap terrace.  The improvements the landlord and lady have made are exceptional.  They should be proud of what they have created 'a perfect place to be'

Had a great 'unexpected' night out at your place on Monday 31st May 10. Decided just to pop in for a quick one when out walking the dog 'Sam' with the my wife Annabel, kids and a friend. We were made to feel welcome although we were inappropriately dressed ( I was the only one in shorts & flip-flops) had a dog & kids. So, we stayed all night (sorry). The Elvis tribute was great, the food was great and everyone in the pub was friendly. Congratulations for your 1st year and we look forward to many more.

My sister and I had the best Sunday lunch we have tasted for a long time - have recommended the pub to all and sundry!  Will definately be back for more.

I visited your restaurant yesterday (Thursday) with friends and had a lovely lunchtime meal.   The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff very pleasant and friendly.  Will certainly recommend you and will return.
